Explore the beauties of Southern Moravia. There are many places of interest for tourists, cultural monuments, romantic retreats and sport and entertainment opportunities in this region.
Culture and History- The area of Lednice and Valtice is the pearl of Moravia. Over 250,000 tourists visit Lednice every year. Lednice has been a part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1996
- Mikulov – this old town was given the status of an Urban Protected Area in 1952.
- Vrbice – the beautiful view of the neighbouring area (295 m above sea level) and the unique system of wine cellars, dug in sandstone in up to 7 levels, with Gothic entrance arches are worth seeing and visiting. (3 km)
- The Pálava Landscape Protected Area – a unique locality with plants that do not grow anywhere else. The area has been in the UNESCO Biosphere Reservation since 1988.
- The Moravian Karst is one of the most important karst areas in Central Europe. There are more than 1,100 known caves in the area – four of them are open to the public..
